BIBLE STUDY GROUP: GROWING IN LOVE FOR GOD AND DISCIPLESHIP

Bible study groups take place in Rein Abbey every 14 days.
Together we approach the Word of God in two ways: a prayerful, spiritual approach that should lead into the presence of God, and a content-related approach that should deepen knowledge of the faith. The enriching exchange about what has been read should help God’s Word to become fruitful in everyday life.

Medugorje Pilgrimage: Immersing yourself in heavenly peace

In the first week of September, we offer an annual 6‑day bus pilgrimage to Medjugorje. Medjugorje is a very lively pilgrimage site in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Since 1981, the Mother of God Mary has been calling us through her messages to an intensive spiritual life and strengthening many people in their faith. Numerous miracles and countless people who are fundamentally changing their lives testify that heaven and earth touch at this place of grace. A very varied program (Cross Mountain, Apparition Hill, Adoration, Mass, Cenacolo, trip to the sea, waterfalls…), with plenty of space for the individual and the special peace of the place invite you to open your heart and encounter God.

PRAYER OF THE HEART in Semriach: Prayer and Mass for our families

Once a month, the Prayer of the Heart takes place in the beautiful Semriach, about 20 minutes by car from the Abbey. What is behind it? A Holy Mass, beautifully designed by our youth praise group ANGELUS, followed by a time of adoration. During this time of prayer, we particularly entrust the concerns of our families to GOD. We ask HIM to pour out HIS blessing in often difficult, challenging or perhaps even seemingly hopeless situations in the deep confidence that HE can transform everything for the good.
Carpooling from Rein is possible.

Discussion and confession: Letting go of burdens with the love of God

Again and again, as weak human beings, we will experience in life that we hurt love: the relationship with God and with our fellow human beings can be damaged or even broken. Quite unnoticed, we build walls between ourselves and God through sin, which can become so great that eternal communion with him is no longer possible. That’s where the sacrament of reconciliation comes in handy: God grants us forgiveness, HE tears down the walls and the way to heaven is made free for us.
Please contact one of our priests, who are always happy to talk or administer the sacrament of reconciliation.
