Rein Abbey is loca­ted north of Graz, the capi­tal of Sty­ria. Not far from the worl­d’s oldest Cis­ter­ci­an monas­tery, you can expe­ri­ence histo­ry and natu­re in various ways: Graz is Aus­tria’s second-lar­gest city and com­bi­nes moder­ni­ty with his­to­ri­cal charm, and in Stü­bing, you can see his­to­ri­cal rural archi­tec­tu­re from all over Aus­tria at the open-air muse­um. Fur­ther to the west is the Piber Lipiz­za­ner Stud Farm. Rein is situa­ted in the heart of the Graz Adven­ture Regi­on.

REIN BAREFOOT PATH

The Rein Bare­foot Path invi­tes you to a com­ple­te­ly “pure” natu­re expe­ri­ence with a free foot mas­sa­ge and “Kneipp cure.” You can dis­co­ver how mea­dows, stones, the stream­bed, and the mud within feel along appro­xi­m­ate­ly 600 meters at the end of the Prä­la­ten­weg, behind the sports field of BG Rein.

Visi­tors can gain an over­view of his­to­ri­cal rural buil­dings and tra­di­tio­nal crafts from all over Aus­tria during a walk.
