Advent of Hope

The “Advent of Hope” concert uniquely connected Rein Abbey, the parishes of the region, and numerous believers. At the invitation of Gertrud Zwicker, Abbot Philipp and members of the convent provided short spiritual impulses between the musical contributions.

The event included a variety of participants: the Schwungmusi Stiwoll (Bernd Prettenthaler), the Viergesang St. Bartolomä, the Maria Straßengel church choir under Katalin Mitterwallner, Insieme from Hitzendorf (Martha Edlmair-Perstling), Pro Ecclesia under the direction of Gertrud Zwicker, the St. Oswald choir (Christa Hofer), and the Strohröserln from Gratwein.

The joint singing of “Es wird scho glei dumpa” with over 300 voices led to the subsequent Agape in the monastery courtyard, to which the participating parishes had invited under the Christmas tree.
